CERAMICS ach culture in the Andes developed its own distinct style of ceramics. Using archeological dating methods, ceramic styles can be matched with specific time periods and can be used to help us understand how different cultures developed. Ceramic vessels were often buried with the dead as offerings, along with woven garments and everyday tools. Ceramics, like textiles, were used to record nearly every aspect of a people’s culture. |
